Currently, there are 103 THORNodes participating in a vote to decide whether to burn 60m $RUNE tokens, valued at over $300m, and lower lending collateralisation ratios to 200%. The current vote tally stands at 32% in favor. Community members are encouraged to join the discussion on Discord.
BNB Beacon Chain Retirement Reminder

Thorchain IDO now live on Bybit Official and Ape Terminal

Thorchain has announced that its Initial DEX Offering (IDO) is now live on Bybit Official and Ape Terminal. Users can sign up for the IDO raffle on Ape Terminal until February 7th at 7am UTC. There are 600 tickets available, with a $250 allocation each. Ape Terminal has introduced a new, verifiable on-chain raffle.

Thorchain Community Considers Scaling Lending as BTC Loans Reach Maximum Capacity

BTC loans have reached maximum capacity while ETH loans are still being issued at approximately 400% collateralization ratio (CR). The community will soon need to decide whether to scale lending further as ETH loans approach maximum capacity. Currently, $17 million worth of RUNE has been purchased and burnt. A proposed update (ADR-012) suggests onboarding an additional $100 million in collateral at a 200% CR, resulting in a $50 million buy/burn of RUNE.
