Scroll unveils architecture for new multi-proof system with Automata Network collaboration

Scroll has revealed the architecture for its new multi-proof system, developed in collaboration with Automata Network. The system includes a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) prover, which runs specific software in a secure area of a processor to ensure data and memory are inaccessible to other components. The TEE prover adds a layer of redundancy for proofs, enhancing security on Scroll. A production-ready multi-prover network is expected to be implemented soon.

RollCall: Coordinating L2 Teams for Ethereum Scalability

Members of the Scroll_ZKP team attended the monthly RollCall, a coordination call for L2 teams to collaborate on ideas and industry standards. The need for standardization in the rapidly evolving Rollup protocols was discussed. Two major topics were covered: EIP-7587, which proposes reserving an address range for RIP precompiles, and RIP-7212, the first finalized RIP proposal that designates an address for the r1 curve precompile. The next RollCall session will be held in mid-February.

Scroll provides an end-of-week update on recent developments

Scroll announced the winding down of the Scroll Alpha testnet (Goerli) as part of the transition to Scroll Sepolia. They hosted a Twitter Space with guests from Uniswap to discuss the deployment of Uniswap V3 on Scroll's Mainnet. They also had a live coding session and a conversation on cybersecurity trends. Additionally, they published their latest ecosystem highlight and expressed interest in filling critical roles.

Deprecation of Scroll Alpha (Goerli) Testnet

Scroll will be deprecating the Scroll Alpha (Goerli) testnet on January 25th as part of their move to Scroll Sepolia. Users are encouraged to withdraw their GoerliETH testnet funds if they still need them for other purposes.

Fix implemented for errors in claiming Scroll Origins NFTs

The Scroll community has identified and fixed the errors that were preventing eligible community members from claiming their unique Scroll Origins NFTs. A new smart contract has been deployed to allow affected users to mint their NFTs. Eligible participants need to submit their Ethereum addresses through a Tally form and wait for 5-7 business days. They can then connect their wallet to the Scroll Origins landing page and mint their NFTs. If any errors occur during the process, users can reach out to support moderators for assistance.
