Scroll_ZKP had a strong finish to 2023 with successful participation and talks at IBWofficial and ETHIndiaco in Bengaluru. The team gave talks, participated in panel discussions, and supported India's growing builder community at various events. The team also announced winners from the 'Best on Scroll' track at the ETHIndiaco Hackathon. Scroll_ZKP will be hosting a Hackathon Recap Call to interview and demo projects by winning teams. Today, at 3pm CET, we will host our second Demo Day featuring Witnet. Witnet is a decentralized oracle that allows smart contracts to respond to real-world events with strong crypto-economic guarantees. More information can be found here.

There is a potential issue with the Kyber deployment on Scroll, based on a tweet. The nature of the issue is not known yet, but caution is advised due to the possibility of a compromise of Kyber Network.

Circle's Bridged USDC Standard has been integrated into Scroll Mainnet, providing a significant composability upgrade that enhances user security and removes liquidity fragmentation for USDC. This new contract standard allows Circle to deploy a bridged form of USDC on Scroll while retaining the option to upgrade to native USDC issuance in the future. The integration brings advantages such as removing liquidity fragmentation, issuing USDC directly by Circle, and the ability to always verify full reserves. The upgrade improves security and user experience for the Scroll community.

Scroll Mainnet has integrated Circle's Bridged USDC Standard, which enhances user security, removes liquidity fragmentation, and introduces the optionality for Circle to upgrade the bridged USDC contract to native USDC issuance in the future. This upgrade brings advantages such as eliminating liquidity fragmentation, ensuring USDC is issued by Circle, and allowing verification of full reserves at all times.
