Signal Messenger, an encrypted messenger, is running out of money due to a withdrawal of CIA funding. The app was part of an effort to support resistance movements against regimes not aligned with the US. However, its popularity in the West did not sit well with its backers, leading to the withdrawal of funds.

Status engineers are actively working on overhauling Status Desktop and Status Mobile in preparation for the upcoming V2 launch. The project has been recognized for having high development activity, with the second-highest number of active contributors on GitHub and being listed in the top ten for notable development activity by Santiment Feed.

Status is set to launch its new website on November 7th, marking the beginning of a new era. The open-source project is working on developing the new Status super apps and invites users to join them in building a platform that preserves online freedom and liberty. The new website will showcase the transformation of Status and the direction of the upcoming super apps.

The new Status super-apps are not limited to messaging and group chat. The Status Wallet aims to redefine how multi-chain Ethereum wallets should function, raising user expectations.

The Status Design team recently met in Corfu, Greece for an offsite to finalize details before the launch of their new website. They also attended @Offscript9, an event connecting web3 designers, where they discussed solutions to shared problems in the industry.

The Keycard team has implemented BIP-39 mnemonic generation on Keycard Pro. They are using the TRNG from STM32H573 for generation, which enables fully air-gapped private key generation on any Keycard inserted in Keycard Pro.

Status Wallet has completed support for Sepolia, preparing to replace Goerli and Goerli Arbitrum. The transaction activity UI now detects and displays Token Minting actions. Balance and activity history fetching has been optimized to reduce network calls. The mobile wallet team has added QR code scanning functionality and made improvements to the UI and text input component. The team is also working on the new mobile wallet Activity Tab and Buy Tokens drawers.

The 0.14 release of Status includes improvements to the Community Management home screen, such as a graph displaying the number of messages posted over time. This decentralised feature does not track personal data and is the first of several analytics graphs planned for Status Community Management.
