Fans were provided with branded cards embedded with blockchain wallets, allowing them to tap their smartphones to generate a private key and receive a digital twin on Polygon PoS. The Village Community Grants powered by Quadratic Funding (QF) on Polygon have received over 30,000 donations and more than $230,000 in funding. The breakdown of Village Community Grants #1 shows a matching pool of 130,000 MATIC with 23 participants and a total donation amount of $41,907.11. The Etrog upgrade for Polygon zkEVM is set to go live on the mainnet, making it the first ZK rollup to achieve this milestone in less than one year. This upgrade will transform the network into a Type 2 ZK-EVM, allowing developers to deploy their code on Polygon zkEVM without any modifications. The upgrade is expected to improve network efficiency and overall throughput, providing a smoother experience for end users. No action is required for users to continue using Polygon zkEVM once the upgrade is live.
