Apecoin DAO members are considering building ApeChain using the Polygon CDK. This will allow ApeChain to join an ecosystem of ZK L2s and benefit from unified liquidity and increased security.

Immutable zkEVM, built using Polygon tech, allows game studios to revolutionize player experiences, enhance security, and unlock new revenue streams. The Village Community Grants powered by Quadratic Funding (QF) on Polygon have received over 30,000 donations and more than $230,000 in funding. The funds will be distributed to projects in the ecosystem once checks are completed. The breakdown of Village Community Grants #1 shows a matching pool of 130,000 MATIC with 23 participants and a total donation amount of $41,907.11. The report on Polygon #1 had a matching pool of 250,000 MATIC with 202 participants and a total donation amount of $190,000+. The community is praised for their support of the Polygon ecosystem.

The Etrog upgrade for Polygon zkEVM is set to go live on the mainnet, making it the first ZK rollup to achieve this milestone in less than one year. This upgrade will transform the network into a Type 2 ZK-EVM, allowing developers to deploy their code on Polygon zkEVM without any modifications. The upgrade is expected to improve network efficiency and overall throughput, providing a smoother experience for end users. No action is required for users to continue using Polygon zkEVM once the upgrade is live.

Next week, Polygon will be covering the topic of Real World Assets (RWAs) on their platform. RWAs are digital tokens on the blockchain that represent physical and traditional financial assets, such as collectibles, commodities, equities, and bonds.
