OEV Network creates efficient market for oracle updates

Tue 30th Jan 2024
OEV Network has created an efficient market for oracle updates, allowing searchers to bid for valuable updates. This eliminates the need to wait for updates and enables searchers to update the price when it is most valuable. The lack of data feed granularity is a significant factor driving the adoption of OEV Network.

API3's OEV Solution Could Have Saved Aave $390k in Liquidation Transaction

Thu 11th Jan 2024
A liquidation transaction on Aave V3 resulted in a user being liquidated for over $5.6M with a $411k penalty. However, the liquidator only profited $20k as $390k was paid to the block builder to include the transaction. API3's forthcoming OEV solution could have saved Aave up to $390k in this transaction, allowing the funds to be directed to the user, LPs, borrowers, or added to Aave's treasury.

Liquidations on Aave and the Role of OEV-Share

Mon 27th Nov 2023
Liquidations on Aave's V2 market on Ethereum Mainnet have been resulting in significant revenue leakage. Searchers typically give up 99% of their revenue to validators, with the majority going to builders who include their transactions. The introduction of OEV-Share aims to solve this issue by allowing liquidators to compete for oracle order flow, enabling dApps like Aave to recoup up to 99.9% of the incentives paid out. This would significantly improve protocol performance and help capture more value for the dApps themselves.
