ZetaChain Airdrop Claim Eligibility Now Live on ZetaHub

ZetaHub has announced that eligible participants can now enter Phase Z-1 to prepare for the launch of ZetaChain. This airdrop reward is available for ZetaLabs testnet users, with a cutoff date of August 2023. Separate rewards are available for programs with partners such as OKX, BitgetWallet, TokenPocket, and XDEFI. Contributions after August 2023 will be considered for future rewards and community programs. ZetaHub acknowledges the challenges in airdrop distributions and aims to improve in future.

ZetaChain Node v12: API Changes

The ZetaChain Node v12 introduces API changes related to TSS and chain validation queries. The queries have been moved from the crosschain module to the observer module. Additionally, all chains now have the same observer set. The observer params and core params have been merged into chain params. To get the correct TSS address for Bitcoin, the Bitcoin chain id needs to be provided.

Curve Finance has announced a partnership with ZetaChain to integrate native BTC support for cross-chain swaps and omnichain asset pools. This will enable the creation of omnichain asset pools with native BTC support, allowing assets from different chains to exist in a single pool of unified liquidity. Users will be able to interact with these pools and perform native cross-chain swaps, including using BTC as a route or input for trading. The partnership aims to provide better standardized interoperability and bring more trading volume to Curve.

Attention to ZetaChain Validators

ZetaChain advises validators who built the v11 binary using the 'make install' command to remove the -race flag from the Makefile due to potential performance issues. However, if you used the binaries from the GH releases page, this does not apply to you. The removal of the -race flag from the default 'make install' command will be implemented in future versions.

ZetaChain Toolkit v5.0.0 Released with New Features and Fixes

ZetaChain Toolkit v5.0.0 has been released, featuring new features and fixes that improve development on ZetaChain. The release includes a new command for querying reserves on internal liquidity pools, easier importing of toolkit helpers for browser-based projects, improved cross-chain transaction tracking for Bitcoin, and an improved interact task for building omnichain dapps that accept ERC-20 tokens. The release also includes a fix for changed API endpoints in the recent chain upgrade.

ZETA Points no longer available on ZetaLabs
