ZetaChain Node v12: API Changes, Part 2

The ZetaChain Node v12 introduces API changes related to observer params and core params, as well as the TSS address for Bitcoin. Observer params and core params have been merged into chain params, resulting in changes to the corresponding API endpoints. To get the correct TSS address for Bitcoin, users now need to provide the Bitcoin chain id as a parameter.

Curve Finance to integrate ZetaChain for native BTC support in cross-chain swaps and omnichain asset pools

Curve Finance has announced a partnership with ZetaChain to integrate native BTC support for cross-chain swaps and omnichain asset pools. This will enable the creation of omnichain asset pools with native BTC support, allowing assets from different chains to exist in a single pool of unified liquidity. Users will be able to interact with these pools and perform native cross-chain swaps, including using BTC as a route or input for trading. The partnership aims to provide better standardized interoperability and bring more trading volume to Curve.

Attention to ZetaChain Validators

ZetaChain advises validators who built the v11 binary using the 'make install' command to remove the -race flag from the Makefile due to potential performance issues. However, if you used the binaries from the GH releases page, this does not apply to you. The removal of the -race flag from the default 'make install' command will be implemented in future versions.

ZetaChain Toolkit v5.0.0 Released with New Features and Fixes

ZetaChain Toolkit v5.0.0 has been released, featuring new features and fixes that improve development on ZetaChain. The release includes a new command for querying reserves on internal liquidity pools, easier importing of toolkit helpers for browser-based projects, improved cross-chain transaction tracking for Bitcoin, and an improved interact task for building omnichain dapps that accept ERC-20 tokens. The release also includes a fix for changed API endpoints in the recent chain upgrade.

ZETA Points no longer available on ZetaLabs

ZetaChain has announced that ZETA Points will no longer be available to earn on ZetaLabs. However, existing points will remain unchanged and can still be viewed on the leaderboard. Stay tuned for further updates on the next phase of ZetaChain.

ZetaChain wrapped up major global conferences at India and Taipei Blockchain Week, showcasing their events and booths at FILBanglore, Polygon Connect, and other events. They also hosted an interoperability panel at Above & Beyond and participated in the massive hackathon at ETHGlobal. The hackathon winners include projects enabling Bitcoin-backed ordinal assets, seamless web2-to-web3 communication, and lending and borrowing support for any token from any chain. ZetaChain looks forward to bringing more opportunities in 2024.
