During the month, 1,022,532 CAKE tokens were minted, while 1,251,083 were burned, resulting in a 0.059% decrease in the total supply. The cumulative net mint reduction over the past nine months stands at 2,803,620 CAKE tokens.

The burn was fueled by trading fees from various platforms, including AMM V2 ($332k), AMM V3 ($448k), Perpetual and Position Manager ($1k), Prediction ($145k), Lottery ($69k), and NFT ($1k). Compared to the previous week, trading fees from AMM V2 decreased by 31%, while AMM V3 saw a 78% increase. The Prediction and Lottery platforms also experienced changes, with a 17% increase and a 27% decrease, respectively. The burn is part of PancakeSwap's token economics, which aims to maintain the value and scarcity of the CAKE token.

PancakeSwap has approved a proposal to reallocate CAKE emissions to the veCAKE locker ecosystem.
