Following the successful passage of MIP-M18, GLMR and WELL rewards have been activated for the native USDC (xcUSDC) market on MoonbeamNetwork. Users can now earn rewards by supplying xcUSDC to Moonwell.

The voting periods for MIP-M18 and MIP-R13 have closed with both proposals passing successfully, entering a 24-hour timelock. These proposals aim to rebalance liquidity incentives to maintain healthy rewards on Moonbeam and Moonriver.

Moonwell expresses gratitude for reaching a TVL of 50 million on Base and thanks the community for their continued support.

A migration proposal to move the Apollo Vault of Moonwell DeFi from Aera V1 to V2 while retaining the 15% volatility targeting strategy has been posted. The current value of the Aera V1 vault for Moonwell Apollo is $290k, marking a 16% increase from the initial 250k allocation.

All proposals have passed successfully and have entered the 24-hour timelock.

Moonwell now supports xcUSDC, thanks to Binance enabling deposits and withdrawals of native USDC on Polkadot. Users can learn how to obtain native USDC on MoonbeamNetwork through various options, including using Polkadot-native wallets and the Moonbeam App. Once users have xcUSDC, they can start lending and borrowing on Moonwell, with GLMR needed for transaction fees.

Moonwell has announced a partnership with Moonbeam Network to optimize grant programs and economic mechanisms in the Moonbeam ecosystem. More details to follow in the collaboration.

:rocket: Moonwell partners with Boardroom, a governance platform powerhouse, to enhance decision-making, stakeholder support, and service procurement. Boardroom will host Monthly Governance Calls starting the week of February 15th, inviting community involvement and feedback. Together, they aim to elevate Moonwell's governance to be more effective, inclusive, and community-driven.

The Moonwell community has expressed their desire for @gauntlet_xyz to serve as the Borrow Cap Guardian for Moonwell on the Moonbeam Network and MoonriverNW. Gauntlet is expected to include guardianship in their next round of onchain risk parameter proposals. The proposal received unanimous support and community members are encouraged to refer to the guidelines when proposing new markets on Moonwell.

Warden Finance, the emissions manager for Moonwell on Base, has made several changes to the WELL and USDC supply rewards. These changes aim to address the low onchain circulating supply for DAI and rETH and ensure sustained growth of ETH and wstETH. For more information, visit the governance forum.
