Gitcoin Grants 19 (#GG19) introduces a revamped donation matching system based on feedback from GG18. The scoring threshold has been lowered, and a new sliding scale for matches has been implemented. Donations with a score of 15 receive a 50% match, and those with a score of 25 or more receive a 100% match. Scores between 15 and 25 have proportional match rates. Gitcoin is transitioning from a monolithic platform to a suite of modular protocols with Gitcoin 2.0. The new version aims to address the evolving Ethereum ecosystem and provide support to any EVM-based community. Gitcoin Passport will offer sybil resistance to any EVM-based community, while Grants Stack, powered by Allo, will help grow the ecosystem value of EVM-based communities. Gitcoin is also introducing a range of funding mechanisms, including Quadratic Voting, Direct Grants, and Retroactive Public Goods Funding.
