Updates on Donation Matching for Gitcoin Grants 19 (#GG19)

Gitcoin Grants 19 (#GG19) introduces a revamped donation matching system based on feedback from GG18. The scoring threshold has been lowered, and a new sliding scale for matches has been implemented. Donations with a score of 15 receive a 50% match, and those with a score of 25 or more receive a 100% match. Scores between 15 and 25 have proportional match rates. Visit the Gitcoin Grants donor portal for assistance with bridging funds or creating/refreshing your Gitcoin Passport.

Gitcoin 2.0: Expanding Support to Any EVM-Based Community

Gitcoin is transitioning from a monolithic platform to a suite of modular protocols with Gitcoin 2.0. The new version aims to address the evolving Ethereum ecosystem and provide support to any EVM-based community. Gitcoin Passport will offer sybil resistance to any EVM-based community, while Grants Stack, powered by Allo, will help grow the ecosystem value of EVM-based communities. Gitcoin is also introducing a range of funding mechanisms, including Quadratic Voting, Direct Grants, and Retroactive Public Goods Funding.

Gitcoin Community Announces Winners of GG19 Collections Curators

The Gitcoin community has announced the ten winners of the GG19 Collections Curators. The winners include Olimpio, superphiz.eth, Griff Green, Meximalist, voicedeck.eth, Ale RaMo, Owocki, CryptoReuMd.eth, Carl Cervone, and Wasabi Network. The winners will be contacted by the GrantsStack team for next steps.

What is Public Goods Network and why is Gitcoin deploying on it for GG19?

Gitcoin is running two Program Rounds in the Public Goods Network (PGN) for Gitcoin Grants Round 19 (GG19) because PGN is the only Layer 2 (L2) where the majority of net sequencer fees go towards building and funding public goods. PGN, built on Optimism's OP Stack, aims to create long-term funding for public goods and is committed to dedicating a large portion of revenue from sequencer fees to fund public goods.

Gitcoin provides updates on various initiatives including Gitcoin Grants, GrantsStack, Allo Protocol, and Gitcoin Passport. Highlights include the confirmation of GG19, the introduction of Direct Grants in Grants Stack, the completion of the Allo audit with a mainnet launch in 1-2 weeks, and improved integrator and holder experience in Gitcoin Passport. Be a GG19 Collections Curator!

The Collections feature is back for GG19 and the Gitcoin community is looking for ~7 curators chosen by the community. Being a Collections Curator allows individuals to showcase their favorite projects and amplify their reach and impact. Participants have the opportunity to nominate themselves or vote for their favorite curators and have a chance to win ~$40 in pgnETH. The timeline for nominations is from Oct 30 - Nov 5, and voting will take place from Nov 6 - Nov 13.
