BNB Smart Chain community members have a chance to win $50 in BNB by sharing their plans for using BNB Chain in 2024. Participants can build projects on BNB Greenfield or opBNB, enter hackathons, or engage in other ways with the blockchain platform.

In 2023, opBNB and Greenfield were launched to create a multichain ecosystem for seamless dApp development on BNB Chain. opBNB achieved 23M daily transactions and aims to double transaction speeds and reduce gas fees. Greenfield revolutionizes the data economy and targets enhancing performance and multi-chain capabilities. BNB Chain provided support for Web3 devs through accelerator programs, builder grants, co-marketing opportunities, and incentives. The Hackvolution hackathon showcased impressive dApps on opBNB and Greenfield. BNB Chain also organized Innovation Roadshow events globally. The BNB Chain blog highlighted opBNB's journey, BNB Chain's growth, and the launch of BNB Greenfield. BNB Chain's multi-chain strategy integrates AI into Web3 for advanced AI features. BNB Smart Chain, opBNB, and BNB Greenfield play unique roles in supporting AI applications. The integration of these components promotes innovation and secure data management. The BNB Smart Chain community has been dedicated to helping Web3 developers maximize their potential on the BNB Chain. In the coming year, they plan to strengthen this commitment by introducing more developer programs and opportunities for growth within their ecosystem.

On December 17, opBNB set a new record for daily transactions, reaching 23 million. The BNB Smart Chain also saw more than 14 million transactions on the same day. Despite some congestion, both networks showed excellent scalability. opBNB reached a real-time transaction per second (TPS) of 610, and is capable of handling up to 4,000 - 5,000 TPS. The surge in transactions was mainly attributed to increased inscriptions, including in SocialFi. Inscriptions store data on the blockchain and can be used to create digital assets and dApps.

The Hackathon at Taipei Blockchain Week, sponsored by BNB Chain, showcased innovative projects and awarded prizes to the winners. Flair won the 1st prize for their Hierarchical Drawing Pools architecture. Coin Paysion received the 2nd prize for their work on non-stablecoin transactions. Several projects were also recognized with $500 awards. All winners are invited to join the MVB accelerator Season 7. Participants in the Hackathon can visit the BNB Chain booth at Taipei Blockchain Week.
