Samuel Mens has secured the win of the bounty at the BRB Hackathon by building two plugins and a user interface (UI) that enable the management of subDAOs and NFT-based permissions using Hats Protocol and Aragon OSx. The plugins simplify permission management, while Aragon OSx allows for infinitely customizable onchain permissions. Samuel is now working on adding greater flexibility, such as timed permissions or permissions with a limited amount of uses. Aragon OSx is a modular, adaptable DAO framework that prioritizes security and simplicity. It offers customization through plugins and is designed with security in mind.

The affected Ledger connector has been removed from the Aragon App due to an exploit found in the Ledger Connector Kit. Users are advised not to use Ledger for the next 24-48 hours and clear their browser cache. Personal funds should be safe if no transactions were signed through Ledger Live.

However, Aragon OSx offers a solution with Multichain Governance, which allows for low fees in mainnet DAOs. Utilizing this feature can help reduce costs and increase voter engagement.

Aragon has introduced a Multichain Governance plugin on Aragon OSx to enable protocol DAOs to govern assets, permissions, and parameters across multiple chains simultaneously. This comes after the recent launch of Aragon OSx CLI, which simplifies the installation process and improves error handling for faster debugging and problem-solving.

This new feature enables DAOs to govern assets and permissions across EVM chains from one mainnet DAO contract, allowing DAOs to operate in a multiverse of chains. Split liquidity and voting power across different chains can be solved using the Multichain Governance on Aragon OSx, which allows the creation of custom census using the OFT standard by LayerZero Labs.
