Alchemy partners with Optimism Superchain to provide access to Superchain Faucet for web3 developers

Alchemy has announced a partnership with Optimism Superchain to offer web3 developers access to the Superchain Faucet. The faucet allows verified developers to claim 1 testnet ETH on any Superchain network every 24 hours. To gain access, developers need to have an Alchemy account and add their billing information to their account.

Alchemy has eliminated fragmentation between the Alchemy SDK and the aa-sdk, allowing access to the full suite of Enhanced APIs directly from the aa-sdk provider. The APIs provide functionality for NFT ownership, spam filtering, metadata, historical transaction activity, real-time event notifications, and user token balances. Additionally, Alchemy has integrated with Magic Labs, offering email and social login, user signatures, and user metadata directly in the Account Kit codebase.

In 2023, a total of 1.7 million ERC-4337 smart accounts were deployed across EVM chains, offering next-gen wallets with features like social login, gas sponsorship, and account recovery. The adoption of smart accounts on Polygon and other Layer 2 solutions stood out due to the affordability of gas. The number of UserOps transactions made by ERC-4337 smart accounts reached 7.4 million by the end of the year. In addition, over $900k of gas expenses were covered by apps, resulting in savings for users. The growth is expected to continue in 2024.

The Community Subgraphs include Ethereum or L2 block data and data from popular protocols such as Uni v3, Compound v3, Bored Ape Yacht Club, and CryptoPunks.
