Yearn released vaults 3.1.0 in June 2026, an upgrade to its core vault code with two new features and three accounting fixes. Since Yearn does not use upgradeable proxies, existing vaults stay on their older code — the upgrade only applies to newly deployed vaults.
- Feature 1: emergency pause — the emergency manager can block ERC4626 user flows (deposit, withdraw, mint, redeem) during an incident to preserve depositor value.
- Feature 2: post-deposit and post-withdraw hooks — periphery modules react immediately after user flows, enabling allowlist-only or permissioned deposits; withdraw hooks can see the exit's strategy queue and cap or gate withdrawals.
- The Vyper compiler was bumped to 0.3.10, and three accounting bugs were fixed, including the withdrawal limit module now reading the same effective queue as redemptions.
- The changes were audited by yAuditDAO, with the full report published alongside the announcement.
