Polygon launches CDK Besu, connecting private Besu chains to AggLayer
Polygon has launched CDK Besu, now live as the latest configuration option in Polygon CDK within the Open Money Stack (OMS), per the official announcement. Teams can launch a new private Besu chain or connect an existing Besu network, ending the isolation typical of private chains.
- Polygon Foundation CEO Sandeep Nailwal called it a "big unlock for enterprises," arguing Besu chains with AggLayer interoperability carry "no tradeoffs on connectivity or liquidity."
- Private chains keep their own validators, rules, and data on their own infrastructure, while gaining access to counterparties, markets, and liquidity across AggLayer-connected chains.
- Cross-chain transfers are secured by Polygon's zk-powered pessimistic proofs, and OMS provides the infrastructure and services to build and operate the chain.
