
MetaMask has introduced what it calls the first self-custody wallet protection against red pill attacks — a scam where a transaction looks safe in the preview but drains the wallet after signing. The new "Added Protection" feature simulates the transaction first, then locks in that result; if the actual outcome doesn't match, the transaction automatically reverts and funds stay put.
