Lido launches direct staking on Ethereum L2s via UI
Lido has launched direct staking on Ethereum L2s through its UI, letting users stake ETH on Arbitrum, Base, Linea, and Optimism in a few clicks without manually bridging to Ethereum and back. The feature is powered by Chainlink CCIP and was covered by CoinDesk, which Lido reshared on X to confirm the rollout.
- ETH is exchanged for wstETH from a dedicated liquidity pool on the same L2, using a Chainlink price feed that reflects the Lido protocol's exchange rate
- Available now via the Lido UI
- Removes the need to bridge ETH to Ethereum L1 before staking
