Zcash coinholders vote to keep four-year halvings

Zcash coinholders voted 2,375,932 ZEC to 22,385 on Sept. 14 to keep the network's four-year halving schedule — the largest such vote on record by voting weight. Ballots ran on a separate encrypted chain, verifiable without revealing individual answers or balances.

The result leads the October edition of Zcash Monthly, the new monthly series published by CoinDesk with GenZcash for the next 12 months.
