Solana has activated Transaction V1, tripling its maximum transaction size by raising the limit to 4,096 bytes from 1,232. The upgrade gives developers more room to fit multi-step trades, company-wallet approvals and privacy proofs into a single transaction instead of splitting them across several.
The larger limit is framed as giving Solana an edge over Ethereum for complex operations, though services that read Solana must update to accommodate the change.
