Ripple is bringing Stripe-owned Privy's wallet infrastructure to the XRP Ledger, letting developers embed wallets inside payments apps so customers can send XRP, RLUSD and other assets without managing their own keys or recovery phrases. The integration also lets AI agents hold funded wallets and automatically pay for online services through the x402 payment standard, with a Ripple executive saying agent payments already account for about 25% of ledger activity.
The move builds on Ripple's June developer kit for agent payments and its September expansion to support the Stripe-Tempo payment standard.
