Polish prosecutors charge fifth suspect in Zondacrypto probe

Polish prosecutors have charged a fifth suspect in a widening probe into Zondacrypto, the exchange formerly known as BitBay that rebranded in 2021. The exchange stopped trading in April after customers faced frozen withdrawals, with estimated losses of at least $94 million. The charge adds to an investigation that has already ensnared the Polish Olympic Committee president over an alleged crypto-linked bribe involving the exchange.
