
Senate Republicans have circulated a new CLARITY Act draft that incorporates 126 changes requested by Democrats, adding ethics restrictions on Trump and his family plus a stablecoin "circuit breaker" aimed at protecting community banks. The 600-plus-page draft also tweaks provisions covering certain DeFi and credit union activities.
The market-structure bill, which would create a federal framework for digital assets, faces a key procedural vote, with questions still hanging over whether it can reach the 60 votes needed to advance against a shortened September legislative calendar.
