At the KBW conference, Consensys CEO Joe Lubin said the company is exploring "a number of very exciting paths forward" for MetaMask when asked about a potential IPO. He offered no specifics on a listing, and the company has not set a new IPO date after delaying its planned 2026 debut when crypto markets cooled earlier this year. Consensys split into two companies in September, rebranding its main operation as MetaMask under Lubin as chairman and CEO. The wallet's parent was valued at $7 billion after a $450 million Series D in early 2022.
