Iran is easing its currency controls to let exporters move earnings home in crypto, the FT reports. Traders can now use overseas earnings to fund imports directly, bypassing the official foreign-exchange system rather than converting proceeds through state-managed channels.
The change gives exporters a sanctioned route to repatriate foreign revenue using digital assets, part of Iran's broader effort to navigate currency volatility and international sanctions while keeping trade flowing.
