Crypto's political action committee Fairshake plans to spend $30 million to oppose Ohio Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown's re-election bid, per The New York Times. It is the group's largest outlay of the 2026 cycle, echoing the $40 million it spent against Brown in 2024 — the biggest expenditure Fairshake made in that race.
The push follows the CLARITY Act's defeat in the Senate. Fairshake's broader strategy keeps crypto-friendly candidates and allies in play for November, where digital-asset legislation such as market structure and stablecoins will remain on the agenda.
