CME Group posts record Q3 revenue of $1.74B

CME Group, the exchange that operates bitcoin and ether futures markets, reported record third-quarter revenue of $1.74 billion, up 13% year over year. Average daily trading volume across its markets reached a Q3 record of 29.4 million contracts.

• Revenue and volume records came even as the CFTC and CME remain locked in litigation over the agency's perpetual-futures policy, which CME is suing to block.
