Blockchain.com and NYSE team up for tokenized equities

Blockchain.com and the NYSE have signed a memorandum of understanding to distribute tokenized U.S. equities and ETFs to the wallet's 44 million+ accounts through the NYSE's planned digital alternative trading system (ATS), according to CoinDesk.

• The deal would route Wall Street-listed securities to retail crypto users pending regulatory approval.
• It is the latest bank-and-exchange push to bring traditional equities onto blockchain rails, following similar tokenized-stock initiatives from Robinhood, Coinbase and others.

No terms, launch timeline or regulatory filings were disclosed in the initial announcement.
