Coinbase reworks Advanced fee tiers and USDC rewards
Coinbase revamped its Advanced fee structure, lowering the entry point for advanced tiers to $10K (down from $25K). Spot and derivatives volume can now both count toward a user's fee tier, and USDC holdings can qualify account holders for VIP Plus status.
Separately, Coinbase One members earn APY on their USDC balances — now raised to 3.75% after initially launching at 3.5%. Coinbase noted reward rates are subject to change and may vary by region, with the latest rates visible inside accounts. The One subscription renews automatically with recurring payments.
