Coinbase launches live crypto price prediction markets

Coinbase launched live crypto price prediction markets for US users, letting them trade binary event contracts on whether BTC, ETH, SOL and other assets will rise or fall over windows as short as 15 minutes up to daily. Users choose an asset, a timeframe and a direction; a correct call pays $1, a wrong one pays $0.

Positions can be funded with USD or USDC and trade alongside holdings in the Coinbase app
Offered through Coinbase Financial Markets (CFTC/NFA member); not available in all states, with Nevada named as an exception
Extends Coinbase's prediction-market push that began with Kalshi-powered markets in December 2025
Announced via Coinbase's X account with the tagline that texting "it's so over" is a prediction — "now there's a button for it"
