Priority Gas Auctions and Fast Feed go live on Arbitrum
Arbitrum has activated Priority Gas Auctions (PGA) and Fast Feed on Arbitrum One, with Timeboost phased out as their precursor. PGA lets builders bid for earlier execution on blockspace, while Fast Feed provides an early witness of pending transactions, creating an additional revenue stream for the token-governed treasury.
Offchain Labs co-founder and Chief Scientist Ed Felten said the pair accelerates two halves of the same loop — Observe → Decide → Bid → Execute — with Fast Feed streaming ordering and transaction data during block construction and PGA determining execution priority. CEO Steven Goldfeder called fast execution and efficiently priced blockspace the two things every chain must get right.
Early data shows strong adoption: analytics firm Entropy Advisors reported priority fees and Fast Feed already make up 59% of all fees paid on the chain. Arbitrum has since published Fast Feed access details, urging market makers, searchers and propAMMs to build on the feed to respond faster to market events.
