Alchemix launched limit orders with automatic Transmuter deposits, letting users buy alAssets below peg and lock in fixed yield without actively watching the market. Once an order fills, the purchased alAssets are routed straight into the Transmuter, so the position automatically starts earning at the fixed rate.
- The feature is live now, announced via a thread on X explaining how the order flow works and inviting users to place their first order to lock in the exact Transmuter APR they want (order app).
- It works because alAssets often trade just below 1:1, while the Transmuter redeems them at full value after a fixed term — the limit order catches the discount at fill, and the Transmuter converts it into fixed-rate yield.
- It combines a below-peg buy entry with the Transmuter's fixed-rate product, where deposits earn a set APR and receive 1:1 underlying at maturity.
