This article explores how redemptions and liquidations help osETH maintain the peg and stay overcollateralized in different market conditions. StakeWise processes redemptions using osETH positions that are above the redemption threshold, while liquidations are triggered for positions above the liquidation threshold. Minting of osETH is possible thanks to overcollateralization, and any slashing or penalties affect excess collateral first.
