The team behind Polygon Miden has released a new version of Miden VM (v0.7) with various new features that improve VM performance by 30%. One of the new features is a variation of Falcon signature verification called Falcon512, which is more efficient and secure. Falcon512 signatures use RPO256 instead of SHAKE256, making them easier to verify in Miden VM.

Developers and users can test Inca Berry on the Polygon zkEVM testnet. The upgrade also brings compatibility with GCC 13 and popular desktop distributions of Linux. The latest versions of the node and prover enhance Websocket subscription and add a data stream to the sequencer. End-users do not need to take any action once Inca Berry is live on mainnet to continue using Polygon zkEVM Mainnet Beta.

Polygon 2.0, the technical upgrade to MATIC, has reached a milestone with the launch of POL contracts on the Ethereum Mainnet. POL is an ecosystem of zk-based L2 chains that allows POL holders to validate multiple chains and perform multiple roles on each chain. The upgrade does not change active systems on Polygon PoS or zkEVM networks. Users can join the governance process and provide feedback on proposed changes.

The Chain Indexer Framework is an open-source framework that empowers developers to build robust and scalable applications that seamlessly process blockchain events and enable real-time data integration. It offers an event-driven architecture, reduced API costs, flexible data pipelines, integration with Kafka, and compatibility with EVM blockchains. This framework is now available for developers to try and enhances the development of dApps that require querying blockchain data.

AstarNetwork has launched their ZK powered L2 chain, built with Polygon CDK, which provides businesses with the ability to implement web3 strategies with security, privacy, and scalability.
