Onyx has announced the Goliath Project, a new Layer 1 blockchain network targeting banks and financial institutions. Key features include:
- Aims to match or exceed Visa's 24,000 TPS
- Uses Proof-of-Stake for energy efficiency
- Complements existing XCN Ledger Layer 3
Development Timeline:
- Q2 2025: Whitepaper release
- Q3 2025: Testnet launch
- Q1 2026: Mainnet launch
- Q2 2026: Bank Connectivity Mesh Network
The project includes a points program with 10x multiplier for early liquidity providers. XCN token remains on Ethereum but will be bridgeable to Goliath network.
