Metamask introduces Refuel, allowing users to get native tokens on the destination chain to cover gas fees when bridging. Refuel automatically converts bridged funds into the destination network's native gas token, enabling smoother transactions on the destination chain. The Metamask team is excited and relieved to have finally shipped their new project. They thank external teams such as silenceabs_sl, Safeheron, and usecapsule for their involvement and everyone is now able to test out the new product.

Metamask has announced that 1155 and 721 tokens can now be auto-detected on Linea in the MetaMask Portfolio.

MetaMask users in the US can now purchase and transfer crypto through Robinhood Connect seamlessly using debit, bank transfer, or existing Robinhood balance. The integration is available on MetaMask extension, mobile app, and MetaMask Portfolio.

Metamask has upgraded its NFT backend services in response to the deprecation of the @OpenSea v1 NFT API. Users are advised to upgrade to version 7.12.5 or higher for mobile app users to ensure continued visibility of their NFTs.

MetaMask has introduced 12 security Snaps to enhance the security of its wallets. The Snaps also offer on-demand security and seamless integration with the wallet. MetaMask aims to prioritize user security and prevent losses from hacks or user errors.

MetaMask Portfolio now allows users to set up their own Ethereum validator node with a 32 ETH deposit. This feature is powered by Consensys Staking and offers secure node running, streamlined staking rewards, and reduced risks of slashing and downtime.

MetaMask Bridge users are not affected by the recent Socket exploit. The bridge contracts have been designed with a unique architecture to protect against such attacks. Users who are not part of the MetaMask Bridge should stay updated on official Socket updates and be cautious of fake accounts trying to take advantage of the situation.

Ledger has resolved the active issue with their Ledger Connect kit. Users are advised to wait 24 hours before interacting with dapps using Ledger Connect. MetaMask Portfolio and SDK users were determined to be safe and transactions were temporarily turned off as a precaution to update dependencies.

There has been an attack on Ledger Connect Kit. Ledger users are advised to stop using dapps.
