Lens Protocol Community Discusses User Verification Standards on Lens
The Lens community has initiated a new LIP-9 to address user verification standards and composability on Lens in light of the platform becoming permissionless. The proposal suggests implementing two types of verification categories: global and local. Global verification would encompass protocol-wide standards, such as checkmarks, brands, and humanity verification. Local verification would pertain to application-level verification, such as music apps verifying creators. While both categories would be voluntary, they aim to enhance user experience across the Lens protocol.
