Kraken, a prominent cryptocurrency exchange, has clarified that the claim of 100% of Bitcoin holders being in profit is false. The highly anticipated Ethereum Dencun upgrade is set to go live in two days. This upgrade introduces EIP-4844, also known as Proto-Danksharding, which aims to significantly reduce gas fees for Layer 2 (L2) rollups by improving data availability. The new feature allows transactions to carry binary large objects (blobs) of up to 125 Kilobytes, which are stored on the Beacon chain temporarily. This approach is more cost-effective for L2 rollups compared to using calldata. While Proto-Danksharding is an intermediate step, it lays the foundation for full Danksharding, which is expected to enable Ethereum to process millions of transactions per second in the future.
