Ethereum, the technology behind the cryptocurrency ether (ETH) and decentralized applications, is hiring founding engineers at EthGlobal. The role involves working directly with the Ethereum team to develop products for over 100,000 developers building onchain applications and infrastructure. Fullstack Engineers are being sought for this position.

The Ethereum community has announced that the Goerli testnet, originally expected to remain active for around a month after the Dencun upgrade, is being shut down earlier than anticipated. Nearly all validators on the network have been deactivated over the past few weeks. Users are advised to migrate to the Sepolia or Holesky testnets as this serves as the final notice for the Goerli shutdown.

The Ethereum community is gearing up for the highly anticipated Dencun upgrade, scheduled to take place in less than 24 hours. In preparation, various client teams have released performance and stability improvements. The official blog post has been updated to include both minimum and recommended versions for node upgrades. Ethereum node operators are advised to upgrade their nodes promptly to ensure a smooth transition.

DenCun is set to activate on the Ethereum mainnet at epoch 29696 on March 13 at 13:55 UTC. The announcement provides details about client release versions and other relevant information regarding the upgrade.

Developers can now apply for funding from the $900K ZK Grants pool, supported by various organizations including Aztec Network, Polygon, Scroll ZKP, Taiko, Zksync, and the Ethereum Foundation.

The Ethereum Foundation has opened its 2024 Academic Grants Round, offering up to $1M for academic research advancing Ethereum. Applications are open until March 5th.
