CoW Protocol has announced the launch of their new version of technical documentation, which includes guided live coding tutorials directly from the browser. The improved documentation aims to make learning, integrating, and exploring CoW Protocol easier than ever before.

In December, CoW Protocol handled a total volume of $1.73B and generated a surplus of $14.9M. They integrated the MEV Blocker into the Crypto.com DeFi wallet app, collaborated with Patrol for the discord, and launched CoW Swap. The top 3 notable batches include a wNXM for WETH trade, ETH to DAI trade, and ETH to wstETH and USDC to LIT trade. Solvers generated a total of $14.9M in surplus. There were no executed or new proposals for governance this month. In terms of product updates, the backend team worked on infrastructure improvements, deployment on Sepolia, and faster settlement times. The frontend team implemented theme colors, released CoW Swap v1.51, and worked on UI fixes. There are currently no open job positions at CoW Protocol.

The CoW Swap widget now offers a range of visual customization options to make integration on-brand. Users can customize primary and secondary colors, widget background colors, and text colors to match their project.

CoW Swap has launched the Programmatic Order Framework, a tool that allows users to create advanced order types and automate various tasks such as DAO payroll and portfolio rebalancing. Programmatic orders operate through a decentralized architecture and enable gasless trading for smart contracts. This framework builds upon CoW Swap's journey of transforming from dutch auctions to batch auctions and introduces innovative features like intents and MEV protection. The Programmatic Order Framework opens up possibilities for autonomous and customizable trading on the platform.

We have introduced a new feature that allows users to effortlessly track the filled price of their entire TWAP order from the receipt, eliminating the need for manual calculations.

CoW Swap has made changes to its frontend in response to the hack on Ledger. The Ledger connector has been removed to ensure the safety and security of users.

A whale on CoW Swap was able to save over $3,000 by using a 20-part TWAP order to swap around 80k CVX for WETH. Despite the large order size, the trader achieved a price impact of only 0.9%, compared to the expected 2%+. TWAP orders have accounted for over $43 million in CoW Swap volume since their launch a few months ago.
