The BNB Smart Chain (BSC) recorded a significant increase in transaction volume last week, reaching 32 million transactions on December 7th. Despite the surge in activity, BSC fees remained stable, with average fees of 3.7 Gwei, which is in line with BSC's usual gas price.

BSC's Kepler Hardfork, scheduled for Jan 23, 2024, will bring fast finality governance and EVM compatibility to the BNB Smart Chain. The upgrade includes features such as governable rewards, optimized contract creation, optional access lists, and the deprecation of the SELFDESTRUCT opcode. Developers are advised to upgrade their systems ahead of the hardfork.

The BNB Chain TVL Incentive Program offers project owners the chance to deploy their projects on opBNB and earn dynamic rewards. By applying, projects can compete for a prize pool of up to $160K.

BNB Chain is offering up to $200,000 in BNB tokens per month as a reward for qualifying projects in their ecosystem through the DAU Incentive Program. The program supports projects launched within the last 6 months, with an average of 10 DAU in the last 7 days before application. The prize pool is based on the gas fees generated by eligible projects and winners will be selected randomly using the Pickaw tool.
