The BNB Smart Chain community has been dedicated to helping Web3 developers maximize their potential on the BNB Chain. In the coming year, they plan to strengthen this commitment by introducing more developer programs and opportunities for growth within their ecosystem.

On December 17, opBNB set a new record for daily transactions, reaching 23 million. The BNB Smart Chain also saw more than 14 million transactions on the same day. Despite some congestion, both networks showed excellent scalability. opBNB reached a real-time transaction per second (TPS) of 610, and is capable of handling up to 4,000 - 5,000 TPS. The surge in transactions was mainly attributed to increased inscriptions, including in SocialFi. Inscriptions store data on the blockchain and can be used to create digital assets and dApps.

The Hackathon at Taipei Blockchain Week, sponsored by BNB Chain, showcased innovative projects and awarded prizes to the winners. Flair won the 1st prize for their Hierarchical Drawing Pools architecture. Coin Paysion received the 2nd prize for their work on non-stablecoin transactions. Several projects were also recognized with $500 awards. All winners are invited to join the MVB accelerator Season 7. Participants in the Hackathon can visit the BNB Chain booth at Taipei Blockchain Week.

Binance Web3 Wallet now supports opBNB, allowing users to make deposits and withdrawals using this method. Support for Binance Web3 wallet has also been integrated with opBNB Bridge.
