Aura has announced its support for the decision to wind down Butter. Meanwhile, Aura DAO is focusing on growing veBAL share, onboarding partners, and preparing for future growth opportunities.

Aura, the largest holder of veBAL with over 44% control, is maximizing liquidity rewards in the Balancer system. Traders, liquidity providers, DAOs, and developers can benefit from Aura's ecosystem by earning fees, $BAL tokens, and $AURA. Aura also empowers DAOs to manage liquidity and directs $BAL emissions to their pools. Developers can build on top of Aura to create efficient financial products and governance mechanisms. Aura's veBAL wrapper allows users to deposit BAL/WETH BPT for auraBAL, maximizing voting power and rewards boost.

The Aave DAO has passed a proposal to acquire more AURA tokens. They will purchase AURA on the market and OTC, perform a treasury swap with the Aura DAO using $AAVE, and mint auraBAL with their Balancer holdings.

Aura Finance has secured over 40% of veBAL in just over a year, highlighting the significance of vlAURA.
