Stylus Receives Major Update with Improved Performance and Features
Stylus, a popular scaling solution, has received a significant update that introduces several enhancements. The update brings cheaper fees (2-4x lower across most opcodes and Host I/Os), contract size compression, better tooling support, improved safety measures, and new Host I/Os. Notable additions include a cache for contract initialization, dynamic activation pricing policy, custom Brotli dictionaries for smaller binaries, improved tracing and debugging capabilities, safety improvements with go-wasi, and new Host I/Os for mathematical operations, transient storage, and early exit with data. Projects like @renegade_fi, @Superpositionso, and @cvex_xyz are already building on the updated Stylus platform.
