Polygon and Aragon Introduce Multi-Threshold Smart Contract Upgrades

Thu 4th Jul 2024
Polygon and Aragon have unveiled a new Multi-Threshold Smart Contract Upgrades system, designed to balance security and decentralization in web3 governance. The Aragon App has introduced a new 'dApp Connect' feature that allows DAOs and multisig wallets to directly interact with decentralized applications (dApps) like Lido Finance, Morpho Labs, and Cow Swap. This integration enables DAOs to stake assets, earn yield on their treasury, and swap tokens without leaving the Aragon App interface. The process involves creating a proposal, connecting the desired dApp through WalletConnect, adding the intended actions, and waiting for DAO members to vote on the proposal. If approved, any wallet can execute the actions, and the results will be reflected in the DAO's finance page.
