Zerohash makes second attempt at OCC trust bank charter

Crypto infrastructure firm Zerohash is back with a second effort to win a U.S. trust bank charter from the OCC, after its first application failed to gain approval. The company said the new attempt would be a narrower, more focused effort.
- First charter bid was rejected; Zerohash is quickly resubmitting with a reduced scope.
- A trust bank charter would let Zerohash hold digital assets for institutional clients under federal supervision.
