Zakura stack cuts Zcash mobile proof generation to under 200ms

Zakura says a new cryptography stack makes mobile proof generation more than 14x faster, cutting private ZEC transaction waits from around three seconds to under 200 milliseconds. The work targets one of the biggest delays users face when sending private Zcash payments on mobile.

• The speedup addresses mobile proof generation, a key bottleneck in Zcash private transactions.
• It follows Zcash's Project Tachyon redesign for scaling shielded money, which reached testnet in May 2026 trialing 25-second blocks and doubled Orchard throughput.
