Sonic teases next release to cut transaction friction
Sonic Labs previewed an upcoming network release focused on what happens between a user's intent and final settlement, rather than raw speed. New features include bundling, transaction sponsorship, pre-checks and expanded contract capacity so developers can keep routing logic, risk checks and product logic together instead of splitting them into workarounds. Sonic frames "fast" as the floor and this release as the step toward removing friction in approval, gas, signing and retry steps.

- Fast was the floor. This release is about what happens between intent and final settlement. Bundling, sponsorship, pre-checks, more contract room. All pointing the same direction: less friction between what a user wants to do and what actually happens onchain. - A chain can be fast and still break the user experience. Approve an asset. Submit an action. Check gas. Sign again. Retry after failure. Every one of these steps is a place things can go wrong. Sonic's next release is aimed directly at this. Replying to their earlier post: Sonic Network already proved it can settle fast and cheap. But speed alone doesn't make a network usable. The next problem isn't confirmation time. It's everything happening around the transaction.x.com ↗
