Shinhan teams with Visa to test stablecoin issuance in Korea

Shinhan Financial Group is teaming up with Visa to test stablecoin issuance, remittance and redemption in South Korea, using Visa's platform to build new AI-powered payment models. The project also targets B2B settlements, adding to growing bank penetration of stablecoins in the Korean market. No launch date has been given.
