The SandboxSandbox Beta Game Jam hits halfway point with bonus prizes
The Sandbox Beta Game Jam — running under the theme "Overgrown" with a $7,500 base prize pool — has hit its halfway mark ahead of the Sept 11 submission deadline. The team is promoting bonus prizes across the contest categories and has shared what judges are looking for in each.
The jam runs alongside the release of The Sandbox Studio Beta (Engine v14), the company's lighter, faster game engine that introduced a unified SceneNode system, first-class Prefabs, an in-editor AI Assistant, new side-scrolling and 3rd-person action templates, and a faster editor en route to the studio's public launch.
