Linea has successfully completed its transition from bridged USDC to native USDC, becoming the first blockchain to make this upgrade. The change brings several key improvements: - Native USDC is fully reserved and redeemable 1:1 for US Dollars through Circle Mint - CCTP V2 enables near-instant USDC transfers between Linea, Avalanche, Base, and Ethereum - No action required from developers - contract address remains unchanged - MetaMask Card users can now earn USDC rewards on purchases The upgrade enhances liquidity, security, and capital efficiency across the Linea ecosystem.
